PARKS MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide and promote community leisure as well as recreational and cultural activities for all citizens.  This is accomplished through joint efforts of staff and community volunteers who work together in organizing recreational programs and activities.  Through this combined effort, we strive to enhance personal well being and to improve the quality of life that makes Zillah a great place to live, work, and play.

PARKS AND REC. PROGRAM

Another season has been successfully completed.  This years’ Zillah Parks and Recreation little league baseball program came to a close June 10th. 

We want to thank  Al and Tina Bass for organizing/running the program and the parents who volunteered to coach this year.  It isn’t easy to step up and commit to a full season of volunteer coaching.  They all put so much time, hard work, dedication and love into this and when you see those children smile, it makes it all worth while.     

We thank the Christian Worship Center for their concession stand they provided at every game.  It was definitely appreciated.  (Especially when those sno-cones were served the night it was in the 90’s.)  This whole program is successful because of all the community involvement and support.  We can’t thank our community enough for keeping the program alive.
