Fireworks are prohibited in the City of Zillah unless you have a permit. To increase public safety, all residents who intend to use, fire, and/or discharge fireworks must get a permit by Monday, July 3, by coming into City Hall, located at 503 First Avenue. The hours allowed for firework use for those with individual fireworks permits issued through City Hall are Monday, July 3, from noon to 10 PM and Tuesday, July 4, from noon to midnight. Violators can be charged with a misdemeanor and a fine up to $500.

Cemetary Park will be opened by the Police and Fire Department at 7 PM for residents to use legal fireworks. Only 21 platforms will be available on a first-come basis. Illegal fireworks include firecrackers, skyrockets, bottle rockets, and missiles.
